NEWS AGENCY
PST, a collection and distribution news agency, has correspondents
in all regions of Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. News
stories are used by IPP Media and other media houses.
It is envisaged that PST will eventually grow into a
fully-fledged global news agency.
ITV-INDEPENDENT TELEVISION
Launched in 1994, ITV has rapidly grown from its modest
beginning to become a giant in the African electronic
media. ITV is the undisputed market leader in Tanzania.
Its audience is composed of a cross section of the population
cutting across race, gender and economic status.
ITV’s coverage of news events has been unrivalled,
making it the most trusted and reliable source of information.
Within a span of a decade, ITV has made its mark by creating
and maintaining local content in its programming. It has

CHANNEL 5 – EAST AFRICA TELEVISION
Channel 5 – EATV is East Africa’s first ever
24-hour dedicated entertainment free-to-air television
channel. Launched in July 2002, Channel 5-EATV has become
the leading youth channel in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
Operating from Dar es Salaam, the signal is delivered
via satellite to Nairobi and Kampala, where it broadcasts
terrestrially.

Established in 2004 Pulse Africa Television is the No.1
Pan African free-to-air terrestrial television network.
Broadcasting from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, it operates
in sub-saharan countries.
RADIO ONE
Launched in 1994, Radio One Stereo is the first private
radio station in Tanzania. It broadcasts quality news,
entertainment, education, health, sports and economic,
political and social issues in Kiswahili. Radio One reaches
the whole of Tanzania terrestrially and enjoys tremendous

EAST AFRICA RADIO
East Africa Radio, is an urban radio station delivering
